In the summer of 2019, Emma heard these words spoken to her from a stage at a sleepaway camp, a month before starting college as an Interior Architecture major at the University of Idaho. She had always told herself (and anyone who would listen) how “in a perfect world”, she would pursue performance, or how “if acting wasn’t so unstable and shaky,” or “what do you do with a theatre degree other than be a barista your whole life?” But after only a semester away from performance, the calling on her life was too strong. She switched majors and hasn’t looked back since. She also added a BS Ed in Secondary Education, earning two degrees summa cum laude. She graduated in 2023 and now lives in Chicago, IL working in film, theatre, and cabarets across the city.

When she isn’t performing, Emma loves to be outside hiking, swimming, adventuring, and exploring any new place she can. She loves to craft, and at any given time you will find at least six half-finished projects around her house. She has every Twilight movie memorized front to back (ask her at your own risk), and still knows all the words to One Week by the Barenaked Ladies.

If you pursue theatre, you’re going to enjoy the ride.
